Mr. Levy is a former member of the staff of the Securities & Exchange Commission and seasoned lawyer with over 30 years of legal experience, and is Chair of the International Practice Group at Brown Rudnick. He represents clients in IPOs, venture financings, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Recently Mr. Levy led the firm's efforts in the prestigious Nasdaq IPO and follow-on secondary offer of a major European software company. In addition, he has worked with several other European companies on IPOs on Nasdaq or Nasdaq Europe.
Mr. Levy is active in international legal matters and represents U.S. and foreign clients on foreign joint ventures, distribution and licensing arrangements, cross-border financings, and establishing business operations in the United States. He has been a speaker in numerous international conferences on corporate finance and cross-border business transactions, and has served on the Advisory Committee to Nasdaq Europe, responsible for reviewing the admission rules to Nasdaq Europe. Mr. Levy divides his time between Brown Rudnick's London and Boston offices.
Representative Matters
o Represented a leading European software company in its Nasdaq IPO, in follow-on financings raising over $1 billion, in over 20 acquisitions totaling over $2 billion, and in numerous joint ventures and strategic partnerships, including with Intel and Microsoft.
o Represented a major U.S. technology company in its Nasdaq IPO, in follow on offerings raising over $500 million, and in over 25 acquisitions totaling close to $800 million.
o Represented a European internet banking company in the first-ever $1 billion acquisition.
