Mr. Salva is responsible for external financial and management reporting corporate accounting and corporate internal controls. In addition to his role as Chief Accounting Officer Mr. Salva is responsible for the Corporate Controller functions Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Corporate Tax and risk management.
Prior to joining Comcast in January 2000 Mr. Salva was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 12 years where he held various positions of increasing responsibility including working in Coopers & Lybrand’s National Accounting and SEC office. Mr. Salva also served as a Professional Accounting Fellow with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission’s Office of the Chief Accountant. Following the merger of C&L and Pricewaterhouse in 1998 Mr. Salva was named as the national technical accounting consulting partner and regional risk management partner for PwC’s Southeast Region.
Mr. Salva graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Glassboro State/Rowan University in 1977. He is a CPA in Pennsylvania and is a member of the AICPA PICPA and Financial Executives International. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Committee on Corporate Reporting the senior technical committee of FEI and was named as one of the top 60 influencers in 2006 by Business Finance magazine. He is a member of the Board of Directors of both FEI and the Rowan University Foundation.
