In September 1999, J. Lawrence Bradner rejoined Scientific Atlanta to head the new business sector as corporate vice president and president of SciCare Broadband Services.
Bradner first joined Scientific Atlanta in 1977 and has held numerous product line and operations management positions with the company. He became the general manager of the company's broadband communications division in 1985 and in 1987 was appointed president of the division and a corporate officer.
Prior to rejoining Scientific Atlanta, Bradner served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Syntellect. He became Chairman and CEO in March 1996 following the acquisition of Telecorp Systems, Inc. by Synellect.
In 1974, Bradner graduated with honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering (Co-operative Education Program). In 1977, he received a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Bradner is a member of the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta. His activities in the cable industry include; National Cable Television Association (NCTA), Convention Committees and the 1989 ACE Awards Committee. Bradner is a member of the Board of Directors of the Business and Technology Alliance of Georgia and served as its President in 1995. |
