Lawrence E. Osborn is the Northrop Grumman Corporate Lead Executive (CLE) for Honolulu. In this capacity as CLE, he is responsible for developing and maintaining corporate relationships with key customers in the region.
Mr. Osborn has extensive expertise and experience with PC Windows based applications, Rapid Applications Development languages (Delphi and Visual Basic), LAN and WAN architecture, digital imaging technology, and relational database architectures. He has designed and implemented records management and inventory control systems as a manager, small business owner and independent consultant.
Mr. Osborn has spoken widely to a diverse group of prospective clients and senior government officials on the topic of object-oriented operational architectures and the DoD C4ISR architecture framework. He has been with Northrop Grumman Information Technology’s DES business unit as the Navy/Joint Account Manager since January 2003.
While serving in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Osborn accumulated more than 4,000 hours of flight time and 800 carrier landings in tactical jet aircraft. During his Navy career, he commanded a deployed operational light attack squadron, served as the air officer on an aircraft carrier, and provided technical and policy advice to the Secretary of Defense, the Chief of Naval Operations, and the Commander-in-Chief, U. S. Pacific Command. Mr. Osborn headed the Cruise Missile Support Activity while at USPACOM, and was a deputy director for Crisis Action. During his military career, he was designated a specialist in Operations Analysis, System Acquisition, Joint Service Operations, and Financial Management. Mr. Osborn completed his military career with the rank of captain, U.S. Navy.
Mr. Osborn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ripon College , an MBA from Marymount College of Virginia (now Marymount University), and a master's degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College. He has completed additional graduate level studies at the Naval Postgraduate School in aviation safety program management, and holds a commercial pilot’s license. Mr. Osborn has completed executive seminars at the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business Administration and at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
