Lawrence A. Zimmerman is chief financial officer of Xerox Corporation, effective June 1, 2002. He is also an executive vice president of the corporation, appointed April 2007. Zimmerman is responsible for all finance, treasury, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, tax, and audit operations at Xerox.
Zimmerman joined Xerox in 2002 after retiring from International Business Machines Corporation where he held senior executive finance positions. A 31-year employee of IBM, Zimmerman was vice president, finance and planning for the company's multibillion-dollar Server and Technology division from 1996-1998. Prior to this position, he was vice president, finance of IBM's Europe, Middle East and Africa operations, headquartered in Paris, from 1994-1996. He served as corporate controller at IBM from 1991-1994, assistant general manager in finance and planning for the Enterprise System division from 1989-1991, and director of budgets from 1988-1989.
Zimmerman received a bachelor of science degree in finance from New York University in 1965 and a master's degree in business administration from Adelphi University in 1967. He is a member of the board of directors of The Stanley Works and Brunswick Corporation. |
