Ms. Sullivan’s clinical background is in psychiatric nursing, and she holds advanced practice certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing. Her early clinical experience was with Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, where she served as the Director of Nursing for Psychiatric Services. While also at Children’s, Ms. Sullivan worked in the research arena with clinical studies and protocols. She also served as the Clinical Director of Information Systems at Children’s, overseeing all information systems clinical liaison issues with the technical departments in the hospital, including vendor evaluation, policy formulation, new system implementation, evaluation, and training. While also at Children’s, Ms. Sullivan became Chairperson of the Quality Improvement committee, reporting directly to the Board of Directors regarding hospital-wide quality improvement activities. She also led the clinical resource management team, analyzing clinical outcomes data and developing clinical pathways. She was the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Preferred Health Systems, in Bethesda, Maryland, where she managed the development (clinical and technical) of disease management software. She has done consulting work to health care management companies in the areas of disease management and protocol development, information systems selection and physician network development. |
