Laurie Hughes serves as Vice President, Business Affairs, Music Rights and Licensing at TouchTunes and brings many years of legal expertise in the music industry.
Laurie was previously Assistant Vice President, Director of Business Affairs for ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) where her responsibilities included devising and negotiating ASCAP’s licenses for businesses and industry associations. From 1984-1995, Laurie held several positions at SESAC, another performing rights organization, ultimately serving as Vice President, Legal & International Affairs.
A graduate of Smith College and Memphis State University Law School, Laurie has been a featured speaker at the Kagan Video on Demand conference, International Municipal Lawyers Association and the National Speakers Association. She is a former trustee of the Copyright Society of the USA, and a member of the Copyright Society of the South and Tennessee Bar Association. |
