Laurie Caplane is a Partner and Global Practice Manager for the Partner Group of Major, Lindsey & Africa's Eastern region, which includes Atlanta, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., where she has overall responsibility for recruiting operations and financial results. She also works closely with the Practice Leaders to develop practice strategies, best practices and business plans.
Laurie has more than 25 years experience directing marketing and business development in a variety of companies ranging from 50-person private firms to Fortune 50 corporations. Prior to joining MLA, Laurie spent several years in professional services serving as the director of marketing & business development for Arthur Andersen and a leading finance and accounting outsourcing firm. As a vice president at Citibank, she served as a marketing director in the Retail Bank and the Insurance Services group and a sales director for Citibank Real Estate Services.
Laurie has served on several not-for-profit boards. She is currently on the board of trustees for the United Nations International School and is the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. She has also served on the board of the American Film & Video Association and The Theater of the Open Eye.
She earned her degree in psychology at the University of Michigan.
