Lauri De Cicco joined Penguin Computing in August 2006 as the Vice President of Systems Engineering and Service. She has since added Hardware Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to her organizational responsibilities. Prior to joining Penguin, Lauri held positions as Director of Field Operations and Director of Service Marketing at Network Appliance where she was responsible for researching, designing and implementing global government and partner service programs that generated more than $100M in revenue in the first year. During the previous thirteen years Lauri built global service businesses for start-up companies such as Panasas, Inc. and Turnstone Systems as well as serving as Vice President of Operations for Prism Communications, a subsidiary of Comdisco, Inc. She is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and is a former Major in the US Army. In her free time Lauri has served on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization Guitars-Not-Guns and pursues various entrepreneurial ventures. |
