Dr. Laurent Lecanu is Assistant Professor at Georgetown University Medical Center, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Head of the Samaritan Research Laboratories. He has a M.Sc. in Pharmacochemistry, a M.Sc. in Clinical Pharmacokinetic, a M.Sc. in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and holds a DPharm and a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Paris, France. Dr. Lecanu has also been a resident in internal medicine and in clinical pharmacy for four years in Paris hospitals. He has 11 years of experience in neurosciences and biopharmaceutical research and several patents in neurosciences field. In 2001, Dr. Lecanu was awarded, by the French National Academy of Pharmacy, the Prize of the French Association for the Therapeutic Research for his research work on the neuronal death during cerebral ischaemia. |
