Laura Van Popering has over twenty three years of executive level Recruiting and Human Resource experience: twelve in Executive Search, working in large corporate search firms in Chicago, Illinois and Kalamazoo, Michigan. She also worked five years in Human Resources, as an Employment Manager for a toxicology research facility, hiring PhD, Executive Level, and scientific talent; and four years, as a Senior Recruiter, Assistant Vice President, for National City Bank (formerly First of America).

After leaving National City in 1998, Laura co-founded Premier Recruiting Group, Inc. and served as President for the start up Executive Search Firm. She was an important part of the company's success, as she provided clear direction and valuable insights that assisted both clients and candidates in many successful searches. Greg McLogan, who joined Premier Recruiting Group, Inc. in late 1999, formed Van Popering, McLogan Executive Search, Inc. with Laura in May of 2003.

Laura has been actively involved in several Boards: six years on the Board of Kalamazoo Human Resources Management Association (KHRMA), including a two-term Presidency, and two years as Trustee. She currently serves on the Executive Board, as State Treasurer for the Michigan Council of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM); Board Chair, Board of Directors, for Child Care Resources (CCR), and on the Board of Directors for MRC Industries, serving in the areas of Fund Development and Employee Relations.
