Laura Tyson, Professor of Business Administration and Economics at the University of California at Berkeley, has been appointed as one of the members of the 24/7 Customer Board of Directors, effective from April 1, 2007. She is a member of the Boards of Directors of Morgan Stanley, Eastman Kodak Company, and AT&T Inc. Professor Laura Tyson was the author of a special report on the Recruitment and Development of Non-Executive Directors for the British Government. She is also a Board Director of the New America Foundation, the Brookings Institute, Council on Foreign Relations, Peterson Institute for International Economics, and BRUEGEL.
Professor Laura Tyson was President Clinton's National Economic Adviser and key architect of his domestic and international policy agenda. She has also served as a member of the President's National Security Council and Domestic Policy Council. She was the first woman to serve as the Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers. In this role, she was responsible for providing the President and his National Economic Council advice and analysis on all economic policy matters, preparing the Administration's economic forecasts and the annual Economic Report of the President.
She was also the Dean at the London Business School from January 2002-December 2006 and the Dean at the Walter A. Haas School of Business from July 1998-December 2001. She holds a doctorate in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
