Laura Taylor joined Southern Progress Corporation in 1996 and has held positions as Senior Accountant and Business Manager in two divisions of the company. As Vice President and General Manager for Southern Living At HOME, she oversees the business office, with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting and business analysis, and managing inventory forecasting and procurement. Laura is a Certified Public Accountant and has experience in both banking and public accounting. She received her bachelor of science degree in commerce and business administration with a major in accounting from the University of Alabama and earned her MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Laura serves on the Advisory Board for the Samford Children’s Learning Center and has worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham. She and her husband, Jeff, have two young children, Bradley and Sydney.
