Laura Owen’s career spans over 30 years of providing strategic and day-to-day functional human resources leadership and direction at leading technology companies. She was most recently Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for Vitria Technology, Inc., where she led change management initiatives including organizational design, new compensation plans, and an effective employee communications architecture.
Owen has previously held executive-level positions managing global human resources for leading technology companies including Macrovision and Cisco Systems. As Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at Macrovision, Owen was chartered with building a culture of excellence centered on execution, teamwork, and customer success. During her tenure, employee satisfaction improved from 66% to 75% in less than a year. Owen earned a J.D., magna cum laude, degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.S. in Personnel and Industrial Relations, magna cum laude, from San Francisco State University.
