Laura McLane is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP, based in the Firm's Boston office. She is a partner in the Trial Department.
Laura has represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial disputes, products liability cases, and securities and white collar criminal matters.
Laura's representative experience includes:
Defense of a major aircraft engine manufacturer in litigation arising out of a Paris accident, involving extensive foreign discovery under the Hague Convention.
Internal investigation for a Fortune 100 Company regarding allegations of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations in the Middle East.
Defense of a government contractor in a civil suit brought by the United States seeking damages under the False Claims Act and the Anti-Kickback Act of 1986.
Representation of the special litigation committee of the board of directors of a pharmaceutical company in connection with shareholder allegations of securities fraud.
Laura has also represented clients in appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Massachusetts Appeals Court, copyright infringement cases, government investigations, complex breach of contract cases, trade secrets cases, and other commercial litigation matters.
Laura was named one of Massachusetts' "Rising Star" Super Lawyers for 2005 and 2006.
Laura is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
