Laura Smith is vice president and treasurer of Plum Creek, a position she has held since early 2007. In this role, she is responsible for the company's corporate planning and treasury functions.
Smith began her career with Plum Creek in 2003 as director of planning. Prior to joining Plum Creek, Smith was vice president and business unit manager for Goldman, Sachs & Co.'s private wealth management office in Seattle. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1989 and held a variety of positions in the Investment Banking Division in New York, including working in the Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance and Healthcare departments.
Smith graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Columbia Business School.
She is president of Seraph Capital and serves as a member of its board of directors. |
