Laura Lasdow joined Foley Hoag in 1999 and is currently a Senior Paralegal with the firm's five-person immigration law team. She is responsible for the preparation of nonimmigrant and immigration petitions, including H-1B, TN, L-1A, L-1B, I-140, I-130, I-485, and consular processing applications. Laura also prepares PERM Labor Certification Applications, and meets with clients to prepare marriage-based petitions.
Laura's immigration law work includes regular interface with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of State, Department of Labor, and state agencies. Her more general responsibilities include review and research in immigration laws and regulations, and work product oversight of new group members for efficiency, accuracy and timeliness. Laura maintains her immigration law currency through regular participation in professional education programs of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Suffolk University, and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.
Before joining the firm, Laura had seven years of paralegal experience handling immigration law and environmental law matters for another major Boston firm. She also worked with several firms as an interim paralegal.
