Larry is a Manager in Brown Smith Wallace’s Risk Services practice, where he has responsibility for providing risk management and consulting services to the firm’s clients. Larry recently joined Brown Smith Wallace after gaining 20 years of experience with several AT&T/SBC Communications subsidiaries in the Information Technology and Audit Services areas. Larry’s background includes: Directed a geographical dispersed technical team which was responsible for the installation, support, and management of a complex Cisco and Lucent data network backbone.Designed, installed, and implemented network solutions for a U.S. national telecommunications sales expansion. In addition, gained experience with Cisco BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols. Collaborated on perimeter security configurations with technical information security staff. Provided advisement on firewall rule restrictions concerning TCP/UDP ports. Provided operational administration and support for a complex of mid-range computer systems. These responsibilities included: hardware and software change management, logical security application, development and testing of backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures, as well as, business continuity plans while being bound by service level agreements. Planned and performed technical and analytical reviews, developed audit approach strategies, drafted audit plans, performed audit tests, evaluated and interpreted system controls and reported audit risks to executive management. Supported the Sarbanes-Oxley efforts designed to evaluate and strengthen business and IT controls and the development of analysis tools and guidelines for continual monitoring of the controls. |
