Mr. Klane joined Capital One in June 2000. He currently serves as Executive Vice President of Global Financial Services and President of Capital One F.S.B. His leadership of Global Financial Services includes managing Capital One's international businesses and leading the domestic and international teams responsible for corporate development, acquisitions and other strategic transactions. In addition, Mr. Klane is responsible for the majority of Capital One's diversified businesses, including Instalment Loans, Small Business, Home Loans, Insurance Services, and the Savings lines of business. In his role as President of Capital One F.S.B., Mr. Klane oversees the Capital One Thrift as a legal entity.
Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Klane served as Managing Director at Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust. As the head of Corporate Trust and Agency Services, he was responsible for managing their businesses located in Europe , the Americas and Asia . Mr. Klane also headed Strategy & Business Development for Global Institutional Services, which included the development and implementation of strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and divestitures.
Before his work with Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust, Mr. Klane focused much of his career on global business development, working with corporations such as Walt Disney, William Kent International, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Strategic Planning Associates. Mr. Klane holds an MBA from Stanford University and an AB from Harvard. |
