Larry Freedman, joined Carnival Corporation & plc in April 1998 as vice president- corporate controller, and in July 2007 chief accounting officer was added to his title.
Freedman is responsible for the company’s corporate-wide accounting, budgeting and forecasting, financial systems governance and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Carnival, Freedman spent three years overseeing the financial operations of Puradyn Filter Technologies, Inc., a Boynton Beach, Fla.-based public company. He also spent 20 years, including eight years as an audit partner, with the South Florida office of Ernst & Young, and its predecessor Arthur Young & Company.
Freedman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1973. He is a Florida certified public accountant and a resident of Miami, Fla.
