Mr. Siler is currently with Fuel Transportation Edison Mission Energy in Chicago, Illinois. He is a principal member in a three-member team that restructured coal and transportation contracts resulting in a $2 billion dollar savings delivering fuel economics for electrical power generation.
The new competitive economics promoted a 260% growth in coal consumption (coal-fired generation increase) over the next 5 years. As project manager, he acquired, developed and negotiated financing for a flexible, low-cost lease portfolio for 5000 aluminum railcars as well as managed coal delivery operations and supervised a low-cost fleet maintenance program, which spearheaded development of coal railcar prototypes.
