Current responsibility
Larry is a principal and consulting actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1995.
Experience
Larry's area of expertise is healthcare consulting. He has established premium rates for managed care plans such as PPOs, HMOs, PHOs, and self-funded arrangements. Additionally, he has analyzed the impact of state small-group regulations and prepared the required actuarial certifications. He has designed and implemented financial monitoring programs for traditional and managed healthcare organizations. Larry has calculated and recommended reserve levels for a wide variety of health plans. He has also assisted hospital and physician groups in establishing capitation levels and risk-sharing mechanisms for commercial and government products. In addition, Larry has experience in designing and establishing premium rates for long-term care products.
Larry has taught industry courses on actuarial mathematics and college-level classes in applied statistics.
