Mr. McCrary has been in the practice of public accounting for over 30 years. Seventeen of these years were with Big 4 accounting firms of which he was a partner for seven years. Mr. McCrary is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Alabama, Florida and Texas, and has a Masters in Professional Accountancy. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Certified Forensic Accountant and Diplomat of the American College of Forensic Examiners Mr. McCrary has an extensive background in SEC reporting, real estate, health care and financial institutions. More recently, he has developed expertise and written several articles for publication on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Section 404 compliance and reporting. He has served on various committees of state societies of CPAs and taught courses for the Professional Development Institute, and for Executive Education Enterprises. Mr. McCrary has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston; co-authored articles published in the Journal of Commercial Bank Lending; and is the technical editor for a university textbook, Principles of Accounting. Mr. McCrary’s education includes an undergraduate degree in accounting from Auburn University and a Masters in Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. |
