Larry E. Rittenberg Ph.D., CIA, CPA, is the Ernst & Young Professor of Accounting & Information Systems at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has been chairman of the accounting department for 11 years. He was elected a director of Woodward in 2004. He has served as Vice-President of Research and the President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Research Foundation where he coordinated funding and research on the practice of internal auditing on a global basis. In addition, Rittenberg is one of five board members of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) of the Treadway Commission. The COSO Integrated Internal Control Framework is the model for evaluating and reporting on internal control under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. |
