Larry E. Phillips, Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary, LLB, member of the Bar of Ontario since 1981. Prior to participating in the creation of IAMGOLD in 1990, Mr. Phillips was the managing partner of a Toronto law firm, specializing in corporate commercial law. Mr. Phillips was one of the original founders of IAMGOLD and served as an officer and Director of the company from 1990 until the company became a public listed company in March 1996 when he held the title of Vice President, Corporate Development. Mr. Phillips was primarily responsible for negotiating mining rights acquisitions, government
mining Conventions and major joint venture arrangements with other major mining companies. He has worked directly with the CEO and Chairman on all aspects of Corporate development and been involved in a number of equity financings for the Company. As Vice President of Corporate Affairs he works directly with the CEO on major transactions, government negotiations and matters impacting the overall business of the Company. As Corporate Secretary he oversees matters of governance and regulatory compliance relating to the Company and the Board of Directors. |
