Larry Stone was named senior executive vice president of merchandising/marketing in July 2005 and is responsible for merchandising, marketing, store planning/development and store remerchandising. He is also responsible for all aspects of Lowe’s store environment. Stone served most recently as senior executive vice president of store operations since 2003, and has led the company’s store operations since 1996. He began his Lowe’s career in the stores in 1969 and has served in a number of increasingly responsible positions in both operations and merchandising, including serving as vice president and general merchandising manager. Stone is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development.
