Larry C. Corbin started as the first restaurant manager for Bob Evans Restaurants in 1962. He remained a manager until 1974 when he became the senior vice president of the restaurant division. Corbin has held several positions at Bob Evans Farms including senior vice president of operations development, executive vice president of operations development and senior group vice president of restaurant operations. Corbin became the executive vice president of the restaurant division in 1995 and was responsible for the operation of all Bob Evans Restaurants, until his retirement in 2004.
On Aug. 9, 2005, he assumed the role of chief executive officer and president and continues as a member of the Bob Evans Farms board of directors, on which he has served since 1981.
Corbin has been involved with several professional and community organizations. He is a former board member for the National Restaurant Association and the Ohio Restaurant Association. Corbin's community involvement includes extensive civic volunteerism in Grove City, Ohio; and membership on the Ohio 4-H Foundation's board, as well as being a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. In 2004, Corbin was recognized by the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) with the prestigious Silver Plate Award, which recognizes the industry's most accomplished and distinguished foodservice operators. He was also selected that year for the Ohio Restaurant Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
