Lara Branton, CAIASM - Sr. Research Associate Ms. Branton has eight years of experience in investment management and hedge funds. Prior to joining Altegris, she was a consultant performing fundamental analysis and portfolio management at M.A.G. Capital LLC, a structured equity finance firm. Her previous experience also includes serving as the Director of Investor Relations and Associate Hedge Fund Portfolio Manager at Helix Investment Partners LLC, a capital structure arbitrage hedge fund. Prior to Helix, Ms. Branton was a Financial Analyst for three years at Goldman Sachs in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Branton is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds and 85 Broads, Goldman Sachs Women's Organization. Ms. Branton majored in Economics and minored in Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley, during which she studied abroad in Granada, Spain. Ms. Branton holds an MBA from the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego. She also holds the designation of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIASM). |
