Experience:
Lane works with the Office of the Chairman to create new strategies to enhance professional development and attorney management across the firm. Before taking on this assignment, Lane served for seven years as Mayer Brown’s partner of associate development and recruiting (a role informally referred to as dean of associates). He assumed the position full time in 2000 after initially practicing real estate law, focusing in commercial leasing and the acquisition, development and disposition of a variety of commercial properties, including office buildings and distribution facilities.
Before joining the firm in 1994, Lane served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Walter J. Cummings, US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
