Lane M. Bess is the general manager of Trend Micro’s consumer business and president of its’ North American operations. While retaining responsibility for overseeing the continued success of Trend Micro in North America, Bess also holds responsibility for driving the success of Trend Micro’s global consumer business.
Bess has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management with expertise in driving sales growth of computing and software solutions to Fortune 500 enterprises and small to medium businesses through channel partners, consumers and direct sales.
Bess has held leadership positions at NCR Corporation and AT&T Corporation. In 1995, Bess led the market launch of AT&T WorldNet, AT&T’s consumer and enterprise Internet service. Bess worked several years applying his experience in technology company start-ups. He joined Trend Micro in November 2002.
Bess Graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics. In 1992, he received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Dayton. |
