Mr. Martin was first elected as a Director of the Company in July 1994 and is currently Chairman of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee. Mr. Martin is a also member of the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees and serves as the Lead Independent Director of Aimco’s Board. Mr. Martin is the Founder and Managing Director of Platte River Ventures LLC, a private equity firm. In November 2005, Mr. Martin retired as Chairman and CEO of Titanium Metals Corporation, a publicly held integrated producer of titanium metals, where he served since January 1994. Mr. Martin served as President and CEO of NL Industries, Inc., a publicly held manufacturer of titanium dioxide chemicals, from 1987 to 2003. Mr. Martin is also a director of Halliburton Company, a publicly held provider of products and services to the energy industry and Crown Castle International Corporation, a publicly held wireless communications company. |
