Lance Winn serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s Austin, Texas office. Mr. Winn brings a wealth of recruiting experience to DHR, having partnered in the growth of executive, management, and technical teams for 25 years. He currently participates in the Advanced Technology, Healthcare, and Industrial practices. His clients include such brand names as Baxter Healthcare, Shell Oil, LSI Logic, Sematech, Amgen, Motorola, Freescale, Polycom, International Rectifier, Pegasus Communications and National Instruments, as well as early-stage organizations including Conformative Systems, Graviton, Cynergy Systems, MetroWerks, and First Choice Software. Mr. Winn has successfully placed high level functional Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Design, and HR executives, in addition to conducting a number of CEO searches. The depth of technology ranges from semiconductors, hardware, software, wireless, telecom, networking, and internet security. Mr. Winn’s expertise in Healthcare is in medical devices where he has successfully placed executives in Research & Development, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Finance, etc. Mr. Winn’s clients appreciate his determination and tenacity. These qualities enable him to quickly deliver a strong flow of candidates and successfully complete search assignments in a timely manner. His passion for best practices, organizational skills, communication skills, and the execution of repeatable processes are all positive traits that he delivers on each search engagement. Prior to joining DHR, Mr. Winn spent nearly 20 years with Motorola, holding several leadership roles within the company's global staffing organization, including his last assignment as the Staffing Director of North America. Mr. Winn has also worked at Korn/Ferry International as a Principal in the Advanced Technology Practice and with Greywolf Consulting as a Senior Search Consultant. Mr. Winn earned both a BA and a MA degree from Arizona State University. After graduating from ASU, he was a history teacher and coached football and baseball. Lance and his wife Barbara reside in Austin, Texas. They have two sons, Brett and Eric. Brett graduated from Lamar University where he was captain of the baseball team, spent two years in the minor leagues, and is now a Human Resource professional, while Eric graduated from Cleveland State University, was the captain of the men’s tennis team, and currently is a tennis teaching professional in North Carolina. |
