Before founding BizWonk, Lance managed a software development organization at Xerox Corporation (SMART Solutions). The team focused on emerging technologies and strategic initiatives such as benchmark-setting achievement of CMM Level 2. (At the same time, the group achieved more than half of the Level 3 KPAs.) Applications were developed using leading edge technologies, and the group achieved very high levels of customer satisfaction as rated by customer surveys. Examples of some applications developed were the Xerox Marketplace, Worker's Compensation Reporting Tool, Xerox Management Model, and Customer Satisfaction Survey Tools. Some internal customer comments are listed below: SMART Solutions was the only vendor to respond to the development requirements using state-of-the-art applications, and to address capabilities for future expansion. SMART Solutions fully met the deliverables and provided a high-quality product, on time and within budget. SMART Solutions has always been very customer-oriented.
