Lance Coburn is a shareholder in Lionel Sawyer & Collins' Litigation Department. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, complex civil litigation, media law and health care law. Mr. Coburn has worked as a staff assistant to U.S. Congressman Bernie Sanders where he analyzed policy issues ranging from international trade to healthcare, and assisted the Congressman's press secretary with preparing press releases. While in law school, he worked with the California Dental Association as a legislative analyst. He assisted lobbyists in promoting the Association's legislative agenda, coordinated a comprehensive review of California's Dental Practice Act, and drafted proposed legislation which eventually revised the Act. Throughout college, Mr. Coburn enjoyed a career in bicycle racing, competing at an international level.
