Lance E. Rothenberg is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's New York office. He is a member of the Tax Department.
Prior to joining McDermott, Lance was an associate at an international law firm, where his practice primarily focused on federal tax controversy, including the representation of individual and corporate clients through administrative audit. In particular, his experience includes defending clients under audit for their participation in federally designated "listed transactions." In addition, Lance has experience representing clients in both governmental and internal investigations involving tax and securities law issues as well as with civil litigation.
While in law school, Lance was an articles editor for the American University Law Review. In 2001, he received the Lura E. Turley Award for Outstanding Publication in the American University Law Review.
Lance is admitted to practice in New York, the District of Columbia, New Jersey and Virginia.
