Practice Experience
Laird represents emerging and established companies in mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, entity formation, executive compensation, employment matters, tax planning, corporate taxation, tax controversy, contract negotiation, drafting and review, license agreements, shareholders’ agreements, non-disclosure, non-compete, and non-solicitation agreements, and strategic planning. Laird has experience working with various federal and state agencies that impact a client’s transaction including the SBA, IRS, FAA, and SEC.
Laird represents internet service providers in all aspects of their business from mergers and acquisitions, regulatory issues, software development and licensing agreements, internet and general contracting matters, and the drafting, establishment, and enforcement of policies to ensure the client’s compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Laird also represents individual and corporate clients in front of the federal, state, and local taxing authorities in tax controversy matters.
