Kurt Thaus joined Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. as senior vice president and chief information officer in 2004. He is responsible for all elements of the company’s Information Technology function.
Thaus joined TDS from T-Systems North America, Inc., subsidiary of T-Systems International (Deutsche Telecom), where he served most recently as senior vice president of Technology Services.
Prior to T-Systems North America, he worked in the corporate and regional offices of Waste Management, in Oak Brook, IIl., where he developed corporate policy, served as primary negotiator with the U.S. government on regulations, and developed processes and information systems. He was also affiliated with Sargent and Lundy Engineers in Chicago, and Procon, Inc. in Des Plaines, IIl.
Thaus holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois |
