Kurt Kelley comes to Firefly as a former senior research scientist in the Advanced Materials Technology division of Caterpillar's center for research. He is responsible for developing and applying materials and design solutions to corporate challenges. Kelley has an extensive scientific and development background, and is a recognized expert and innovator over a broad range of technical fields. Technically, Kelley's concepts evolve from an extensive knowledge of, and comparisons with, naturally occurring chemistries, materials, and processes found over the extraordinary range of conditions that have existed on earth over geologic time. With a long record of intellectual property development, as well as successful, concept-to-product research projects within Caterpillar, Kelley is a sought-after consultant for new-product development teams worldwide. Kelley received a Master of Science degree in Geology/Botany/Paleobotany from Michigan State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany from Arizona State University. |
