In addition to his responsibilities as a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Katz is Chairman of E-I-A Acquisition Corporation, whose holdings include Quali-Plastic, a large Hungarian chemical distribution company. He is also Chairman of Polymeric Resources Corporation, a nylon reprocessing company located in Wayne, N.J. Mr. Katz served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Peabody International Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, from 1983 until its merger with The Pullman Company in late 1985. Mr. Katz served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Peabody from 1981 to 1983, and was a Director from 1977 to 1985. Prior to joining Peabody in 1973, Mr. Katz held a variety of management positions with Westinghouse Electric Corporation, where he served for 18 years and was directly involved in the launching of new products, divisions and subsidiaries.
Mr. Katz received his Bachelors of Chemical Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and his Masters of Chemical Engineering from New York University. |
