Kumaravel Chinnappan, 8x8 Vice President of Engineering, has more than 24 years of software engineering, development and consultancy experience with both start-up and Fortune 500 organizations. Prior to his role at 8x8, Kumaravel was Senior Director, Strategic Division of Systems Development and Integration at DirecTV Broadband. Kumaravel led the engineering team at DirecTV Broadband that restructured service infrastructures and applications to provide automation, instrumentation, scalability and self-service around Service Oriented Architecture. Before DirecTV, Kumaravel held the position of Regional Director, Projects with HCL Technologies (1981-2001), a tier 1 pure play offshore company. He won the Datamation QUEST award "Quality and Excellence in Services and Training" in 1994 for an offshore MRP project. Kumaravel has domain expertise in software development for automation and brings extensive industry experience as solution architect for Back Office, Networking and Infrastructure. Kumaravel holds an MS in Mathematics and a Diploma in Business Administration from India. |
