One of the original pioneers of online marketing, Mr. Verma founded digitalroot as a new breed of agency in 1998. Prior to founding digitalroot, Mr. Verma worked as an independent consultant to Beyond Interactive (a MediaCom company) - one of the largest online media buying agencies in the world. Here he focused primarily on a developing a solution to service the needs of the smaller advertiser. Mr. Verma was also part of the executive team at iUniverse.com. He played an instrumental role in the market strategy and overall development of this revolutionary publishing concern, which is now the industry leader in technology publishing solutions. Mr. Verma's first exposure to online marketing was at Venture Direct Worldwide, where he helped develop the company's online division and led the development of the web's first syndicated affiliate model. Mr. Verma was also a co-founder at NetBanner, an online banner network that was an early entrant in the pay-for-performance advertising arena. In his spare time, Mr. Verma has been able to offer his advertising expertise back to the community by acting as a judge, panelist, advisor and speaker. He is also a Committee Member of the NY Ad Club as well as a Member of the New York Angels, the Tri-State area's leading angel investor group. Mr. Verma received a BS in Marketing from Georgetown University. |
