Mr. Kuldip Singh, working as Director (Technical), MTNL Board, is responsible for overall planning, introduction of new services and technologies, and all related activities.
After graduating in Engineering with Master in Business Administration, he joined and worked in DoT as an ITS officer. Started carrier in DoT with the then Delhi Telephones at a time when the digital switching was being introduced. He was actively involved in the introduction of digital switching in MTNL as well as DoT and was associated with installation, training, development of software and providing second line maintenance support.
He has experience of more than 30 years in the fields of computers and telecommunications. He also worked in various capacities in Overseas Communication Service (now VSNL) and National Informatics Centre in their computer networking project.
Following the liberalization policy of the Govt. he worked in the licensing cell of DoT as Director VAS and was associated from the beginning in the introduction of Cellular mobile and Various other Value Added services in the country by the private sector.
As General Manager Planning in MTNL Corporate Office for about four and a half years, his responsibilities included long term and short term planning, introduction of new technologies and network planning. |
