Kristine C. Syrvalin is Corporate Secretary and Assistant General Counsel of OMNOVA Solutions Inc., a $700 million company and leading producer of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals, and decorative and functional surfaces. Ms. Syrvalin joined the Company in September 2001.
In addition to her role of Secretary to the OMNOVA Solutions Board of Directors, Ms. Syrvalin is responsible for corporate and securities law compliance, legal and ethical compliance and for providing services to the Company’s finance and human resources functions, among others. Since March 2006, she has also led the Company’s compensation and benefits function.
Previously, Ms. Syrvalin served as Senior Counsel, Securities & Finance for TRW Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, she was an associate at Thompson Hine in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1993 to 1997.
Ms. Syrvalin earned her juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University after receiving a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. |
