Description of Practice:
A. Kristine Floyd is a partner in the firm's Orange County office where her practice focuses on general business litigation and environmental law for an array of clients, including land developers and purchasers, lender and institutional investors, asset management firms, and real estate industry consultants, including brokers and environmental contractors and consultants. Ms. Floyd has litigated numerous cases in matters that involve business torts, commercial contracts, construction, RICO, defamation, insurance and real estate matters. Recently, Ms. Floyd assisted in the successful resolution of a federal district court matter by successfully obtaining summary judgment as to the plaintiff's entire complaint. Ms. Floyd also works extensively with real estate development and environmental issues related to "brownfields" (redevelopment of previously contaminated property), including site assessments, environmental insurance (from $5 million to $50 million in policy limits), asbestos and underground storage tank matters, and water quality control board matters.
Ms. Floyd has successfully negotiated prospective purchaser agreements with the California Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Educational History:
Ms. Floyd received her B.A. from the University of Southern California, where she graduated with honors and obtained her J.D. with high honors from Duke School of Law. |
