Kristin Smith is an associate in Drinker Biddle's HR Law Practice Group and Labor and Employment Team. She focuses her practice primarily on employment counseling and litigation of employment actions. She has spent extensive time teaching client courses on sexual harassment in the work place, preparing course materials on electronic privacy in the work place and on litigation of state and federal employment actions including wage and hour claims, class actions and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) collective actions for both large and small clients.
Kristin is extremely committed to pro bono activities and has represented various clients on a wide variety of matters such as employee handbooks, assault and battery, student expulsion, habeas for freedom from incarceration and family law issues. Kristin is also a proud member of the Sports4Kids Local Advisory Council of Oakland.
Kristin served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Randall J. Newsome Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of California. |
