Kristin A. Caruso holds a B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, an M.B.A. from the University of Denver, and a J.D. from the University of Denver, where she served as an editor of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. Ms. Caruso is admitted to practice in the State of Colorado as well as the United States District Court for Colorado. She is an associate attorney in the firm’s Denver office, where she practices both transactional law in the firm’s Hotels and Resorts practice, and litigation in the area of general civil litigation, including healthcare related matters. Ms. Caruso brings her education and background in the hospitality industry to complex transactional matters relating to property ownership and commercial development, including state and federal licensing issues as well as lease and management contracts. She has tried healthcare malpractice cases and represented healthcare professionals before administrative licensing forums. She has litigated numerous workers’ compensation cases for various insurance companies and large self insured companies, and argued appellate issues before various appellate panels. Ms. Caruso enjoys lecturing on liability issues, and speaking about risk issues. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association (CBA), Denver Bar Association (DBA), CBA/DBA Interprofessional Committee, Cornell Hotel Society, and the National Alliance of Medicare Set Aside Professionals. |
