Mr. Krishnan has served as a Senior Managing Director of Third Security, LLC since March 2002. He also served as a member of the board of directors of New River Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from March 2003 until its sale to Shire plc in April 2007, and as New River’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer from April 2004 until April 2007. Between February 2003 and April 2004, he served as President and CEO of Harvest Pharmaceuticals Inc. Previously, Mr. Krishnan was a director at a start-up venture, Suppliermarket.com, Inc., which was sold to Ariba Technologies Inc., in August 2000. He then served as a managing principal of Ariba, focusing primarily in the pharmaceutical industry, until joining Third Security, LLC in March 2002. Mr. Krishnan was also a senior manager with A.T. Kearney, Inc., a management consulting firm, where he advised pharmaceutical companies on strategic and operational issues; a consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick; and an engineer with E.I. Dupont de Nemours, a multi-national chemical company. Mr. Krishnan received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Toledo , and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. |
