Mr. Sfakianos, obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology in 1993, through a concentration of study in Energy Systems. Mr. Sfakianos has over 10 years of experience within the alternative fuel industry, specifically with electric and hybrid electric vehicles and battery energy storage systems. He has worked with organizations such as Blue Bird Body Co., Westinghouse/Northrop Grumman, Solectria, TDM (Ford subcontractor), Chrysler, Exide Europe, Baker Electric, GNB, Ovonics, HPower and many more. Some major technical accomplishments throughout his professional career included the development of several unique and application specific battery energy storage systems, charging algorithms, and EV/HEV systems control design. As co-founder of Neocon Technologies, he was responsible for all electric vehicle field service, in house production of energy storage systems and general operations. Mr. Sfakianos is a co-founder of Odyne, as COO is responsible for all day-to-day operations including finances and production. Mr. Sfakianos is also responsible for all product regulatory standards and certifications such as UL, SAE, EPA, and FMVSS. |
