Klaus Holse Andersen is corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) Sales and Operations a position he was promoted to in March 2007. Klaus is responsible for the overall sales strategy and field engagement within MBS including Operations & Training, Field Engagement and the MBS International Sales team. Klaus is also general manager for Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen (MDCC), Microsoft’s largest development center in Europe.
Klaus joined Microsoft in 2001 as the general manager for Microsoft Denmark. He was promoted to the position of EMEA [Europe, Middle East, Africa region] Vice President for Northern Europe in April 2003 and took on new responsibilities in November 2004 as EMEA Vice President of MBS. In April 2005 Klaus took the position as Vice President for SMS&P and MBS EMEA.
Before joining Microsoft, Klaus was the CEO of Internet Ventures Scandinavia, one of Denmark’s most successful venture companies. Prior to this, he was CEO of LIC Energy today Energy Solutions a Danish software company selling products and services to the oil and gas pipeline industry. Klaus also spent 12 years at Oracle, five of which were in the United States, rising to the position of senior vice president, education.
