Kirstin is a member of Lindquist & Vennum’s commercial litigation practice group and assists clients in a variety of areas, including commercial, real estate, and intellectual property matters. She joined Lindquist & Vennum after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable David S. Doty in U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. Kirstin worked as a research assistant while pursuing her J.D., researching the Uniform Commercial Code and proposed amendments to the Minnesota Uniform Commercial Code and drafting course materials for the Minnesota Justice Foundation to implement poverty-law and consumer-law issues into first-year contract courses. She is acknowledged for her excellent research assistance in the textbook Sale of Goods: Reading and Applying the Code (second edition), by Carol L. Chomsky & Christina L. Kunz. Conversational in Spanish, Kirstin also volunteered at the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, where she prepared court documents, held client conferences, and assisted in the completion of immigration documents.In law school, Kirstin received CALI "Excellence for the Future" awards for the top grade in courses on contracts, property, constitutional law, business-entity taxation, legal practicum, and alternative dispute resolution. She also competed at the National Tax Moot Court competition, served as co-president of the International Law Association, and was nominated to receive the Collegiate All-American Scholar Award by the William Mitchell College of Law associate dean of multicultural affairs. |
